Skipton Sheep Day is an annual, free-entry summer festival celebrating the town's agricultural heritage as a historic "Sheep Town". Held on the High Street and Canal Basin, the event features the famous sheep show, sheep racing, sheep shearing, a petting zoo, and the High Street is packed with market stalls, local artisan food, and live music including Skipton Brass Band, making it a major family-friendly attraction and celebration of local Yorkshire rural life and tradition.
